Playing Catch~up
I am really behind in my pictures and playing catch-up these days.
Day 174
Day 174
This little girl wanted to celebrate her birthday by spending it with her friends
and doing what most girls love to do....shopping!
~ Birthday girl with her mother ~
~ The new outfit ~
After all the shopping, the kids ate ice cream.
Day 175
First comes rain and then comes the rainbow.
We went on a bike ride to deliver birthday wishes to someone and had to turn around because it was raining to hard. We ended up driving to the birthday girl's house :)
Day 176
We went on a colonel field trip. It was really neat! There were about 7 different stations and at each station you learned something about colonel life. At the end of each presentation there was an activity for the kids to preform.
We missed the first one because we were late :)
This station was about weaving.
They marched from station to station with the flag.
This station was about etiquette. It was really quiet funny how she demonstrated each point.
~ Butter churning ~
Learning how to write with a quill.
We crossed a little stream to get to the next station.
The black smith ~ he showed the kids the different tools and what they were used for.
He also showed them how bullets were made.
Learning how candle sticks were made.
The last station was about the different games the colonel children played.
Bumbles is holding the game called Gracies.
Group shot
Funny thing, you see all those leaves on the ground, we were trying to throw them up in the air so it looked like the leaves were falling during the shot. It didn't quiet work out how we wanted and ended in a big leaf fight.
Afterwards we were famished and ate at the tavern on the property. It was so neat because the tavern kept with the theme of colonel days. We were seated next to the big fire place during our meal.
It was really quiet a memorable field trip.
